DJ Hook
Hook é un DJ, produttore e remixer che si immerse nell’iimmenso e spettacolare mondo della musica nel 1999. La sua esperienza cominciò con “Music 2000″ (programma musicale per PS1) che gli fece capire fin da subito quale immensa soddisfazione ci sia nel creare musica. Nel 2004 acquistò il suo primo impianto per mixare con la propria vasta collezione di CD raccolta negli anni precedenti… Hook é sempre stato attratto da quei generi musicali “particolari” (cioé impopolari per la massa che lo circonda). Suonava elettronica prettamente dance accumulando esperienza essenziale alla composizione musicale vera e propria. Fu nel 2006 che decise di cercare un genere musicale nuovo ed alternativo per le sue orecchie e, dopo numerose ricerche, incontrò e si innamorò perdutamente della Breakbeat. Nel frattempo, acquistando il suo primo PC, cominciò a dedicarsi a capofitto nella creazione di questo suo nuovo genere (tutt’oggi ancora poco conosciuto nel suo paese), dapprima sperimentando con alcuni vaghi programmi e dopo producendo le sue idee molto più seriamente e a livello semi-professionale… Fu nel 2009 che uscì il suo primo EP ed un singolo per l’italiana “Young NRG Productions”. Dopodiché passò molto tempo nella ricerca autodidattica per migliorare il suono dei propri prodotti, approfondendo e accumulando una certa esperienza nei complicati concetti della fonica e del missaggio audio (se pur in ambienti caserecci). Nel frattempo ha partecipato ad alcuni remix contest, spesso suona su “Mi.To.Breaks”, programma radiofonico dell’amico torinese deLa Cuerva, su NSB Radio (the most famous Breakbeat web radio of the world) e tutt’ora pubblica recensioni inerenti alle novità riguardanti gli artisti che popolano la scena Breakbeat internazionale su BREAKS.IT (sito italiano nominato miglior sito web ai Breakspoll 2008, creato dall’amico milanese Cris e Plaza De Funk nel 2003), oltre a suonare in varie serate nella propria città ed in quelle limitrofe. Attualmente Hook sta lavorando a nuovi pezzi e remix (rigorosamente Breaks) per la russa “13Breakz Records”, la greca “V.I.M. Records”, l’americana “Bass Refletions Records”, l’italiana “KindCrime Recordings” e la britannica “Held 2 Ransom Records”, l’italiana “Blame Society Records”, la spagnola “Hard & Hits Records”, la spagnola “Sound Break Records”, la spagnola “Citriq Music Records” e la spagnola “Sound Perfect Breakz Records” con i quali spera di avere il riscontro che tutti gli artisti sognano. deLaCuerva
DeLacuerva, dj attivo da inizio secolo, si trova a miscelare broken beats e nu jazz (Jazzanova, Zero Db, Cinematic Orchestra, Mr Suitcase, Nicola Conte, Funky Lovelives e così via) per un paio di anni fino alla svolta verso sonorità decisamente più potenti e ballabili.
Appassionato e grande conoscitore della scena breakbeat made in UK si orienta verso un suono di matrice funky nuskool prediligendo il suono di etichette quali Splank!, Finger Lickin’, Menu, Against the Grain, West, Brighton Breaks, Mantra Breaks e Money Shot.
Oltre a diversissime serate in cui ha proposto il suo suono in giro per locali torinesi, significative sono state le presenze allo Spaziale Festival 2002 (residenza il giovedi sera), a due eventi Exprezoo (net label) a Milano, ad un magnifico party sull’Etna in compagnia di Blatta&Inesha (Mantra Breaks) e del tedesco Wiesel (Ruff Dog rec.), a quattro serate organizzate in occasione delle Universiadi a Torino e a Club to Club 2007 in compagnia dei Rollers Inc.
L’attività di dj ben si accompagna a quella di recensore/intervistatore/raccoglitore d’informazioni per il sito di punta per la breakbeat italiana: http://www.breaks.it , sito fondato sei anni fa da Cris (Ill Gain rec) cui collabora dal 2005 e che al Breakspoll 2008 è stato nominato tra i migliori siti al mondo nell’ambito breaks.
A ciò si aggiunge nell’ultimo anno la trasmissione radiofonica Mi.To Breaks (prodotta da insieme a Cris) in onda ogni domenica sera dalle 23 all’1 su http://www.brap.fm e sui 104.4 in FM a Brighton: la radio appartiene al circuito dell’etichetta Brighton Breaks, label di punta all’interno della scena inglese. Questa si é rivelata un’ottima opportunità per proseguire il cammino nel tentativo di diffondere la cultura breakbeat in Italia, ci ha dato modo di confrontarci con la realtà estera, di ricevere promos e l’onore di ospitare dj set di artisti di grosso calibro quali Unique3, Baobinga, Break the Box, Blatta&Inesha, Andrea Lai, Madox, Plaza de Funk, Aquasky, Mr NoHands,Beat Assasins e molti altri (che arriveranno)…

Horny Andy
Horny Andy é solo uno degli pseudonimi di Andrea, un ragazzo italiano di 28 anni nato a Brescia.
Ha iniziato a fare musica da quando aveva 14 anni, diventando ben presto un nome della scena Hardcore italiana ed olandese.
Viaggiando molto é entrato in contatto con realtà e suoni differenti che hanno influenzato il suo stile e accresciuto la sua consapevolezza e competenza.
Ha sempre avuto una vera passione per la musica, passando tra i suoni più “duri” delle sue origini, ad atmosfere più melodiche e leggere, sempre con una particolare attenzione rivolta alle dancefloors ed i clubs.
Andy sta lavorando adesso a differenti progetti e livelli artistici, tra cui numerose nuove collaborazioni internazionali e quelle invece ormai consolidate, come per esempio nel caso di Vinjay e Andy T.
Alcune delle sue tracce sono gia uscite con alcune etichette come la “Plusquam Division”, “Supersonik Records”, “Young NRG”, “Bloodsugar Rec” e gia disponibili nei migliori negozi online.

Cris
DJ, producer and graphic designer, at the age of 17 Cris (real name Cristiano Guerra) start making music with an Amiga 500, inspired by early 90s Uk rave and hardcore music. Just turned 20 he releases his first Techno-Hardcore single as Ravemasters. In the coming years he releases more EPs on D-Boy Records while his tracks are included on various compilations. Today, his passion for the beats is stonger than ever and his dj sets are a mixture of Breaks, Techno and Old School vibes with an emphasis on the harder sounds. He has played his records alongside Stanton Warriors, Aquasky, Leeroy Thornhill, Santos, and many others.
From 2008 is a Sae Live Class DJ coach for SAE Institute, Milan.
Cris is also the founder of Breaks.it, nominated for Best Website at Breakspoll 2008.

Plaza De Funk has been a staple in the dance community for the past 5 years and it looks like nothing is going to slow him down on his way to the top of the music world. Since moving to London in 2005, Plaza has released award-winning records on award-winning labels and has received huge DJ and press support for his efforts; a huge range of diverse DJs are amongst his fans, such asFatboy Slim, Elite Force, Plump DJs, Rico Tubbs and Black Noise. Got The Funk on “West Records” and ”Back Home EP” on Mantra Breaks both received the ”Sureplayer” status in DJ Mag, his “Do It” record was licensed on the recent Global Underground mix by the Plump DJs and the track “Push ‘n’ Pull” was played several time on “Radio 1 by Annie Mac and Annie Nightingale” as well as getting “Single of the Month” in IDJ. The Italian doesn’t quite stop there though..
In 2008 Plaza De Funk was nominated for two of the breakthrough categories at the Breakspoll awards; Best Breakthrough Producer and Best Breakthrough DJ.Plaza walked away from the ceremony clutching the Best Breakthrough DJ award and hasn’t had the chance to look back since. In the past two years Mr Funk has played clubs and festivals around the world and back again stopping off in Australia, the US, China, Russia, Latvia, Belarus, endless dates across Europe and of course back home in the UK at Glastonbury, Glade, Chew The Fat!, Fabric & Ministry of Sound.
Plaza is busier that ever in 2010 with a barrage of original material and remixes still to come out on Distinctive, MOFO, Dusted Breaks (Best New Label at Breakspoll 2010), Rogue Industries and Royal One and some very special dates booked in across Europe.

Scapo
Scapo, italian producer and dj hailing from the town of Perugia, began experimenting music with his drumkit in the 90s.
Then he was involved with many bands performing a variety of genres such as rock, punk, blues, crossover and funk and produced two selfmade cd albums which unfortunately signed their final break up as a band.
Out of fun, Scapo soon started to mix electronic music across Perugia and discovered later how particularly passionate he felt about electro breakbeat and drum and bass.
He taught himself how to manage music production software and mastered the art by releasing tunes. Alongside this, Scapo has been traveling throughout Europe for gigs, has launched his brand new record label “Dirty Drop” in 2007 to host his releases. He also signed with Vim recs, Nsop & Pocket Panther recs.
Scapo also doing pro masterings in his Dirty Drop Studio.
